Our school lesson this week has centered around frogs. The premise of it is, "Be wise like the frog who does not use his tongue unless it is necessary." We too should be like the frog and use our tongue sparingly. This was a good lesson for me. The tongue has the power of life and death. Just as the old saying goes, If you do not have anything nice to say, say nothing at all. There is wisdom in that. So this week we have been tracking our words. It is pretty scary to see all the words said versus all the words needed.

Yes- I have to admit it. It's pretty sad when you hear your little one say idiot. Then when you tell her that's not a nice word and we shouldn't talk that way- then she reminds you that you said that about a driver on the road before......sigh......
Our Pastor happened to talk on "our words" this last weekend. Once you put them out there, there is no taking them back.
For me, it's good to focus on what the proverbs say..."Do not withhold a kind word when it's in your power to give it" It keeps me focused on the positive side of words...

Since I am a horrible blogger b/c I invest such little time into it I am pulling out of blogging world. I am only going ot keep my blog site for my own personal use to download pics of my children and record memories. I just wanted to make it offical. I will still try to visit other blogs from time to time and leave comments. I love you guys!!!

The tongue has alot of power, to tear down or build up..I want to build up..the tongue is a huge lesson we all could stand to have from time to time
Good thought. Unlike our writing where we can go back and edit before we submit, our words are often out before we can do the editing. I'm learning the best thing I can do is let the Holy Spirit edit my words through the power of the Word. Now if I would only learn to listen...
