A Good Day

Today I had the great pleasure of a visit from my parents! They were with friends in Gatlinburg and were able to swing over for the day! We used to be able to have Sunday dinners once a week, spend holidays together, and just be in each others presence whenever we desired. That was until God called us in different places of the world. It is hard not being with people you love so very much but sometimes that is where life takes you. We have learned to enjoy every moment God graces us with. Don't take your family for granted. God put you in that family for His divine purpose (Acts 17:26-27).
Since the girls birthdays are just a month apart we celebrated them together! That was fun and left it without argument--for awhile at least! :)
This was a delicious cake to make everyone happy-it was chocolate and white cake. Yum!
Sweet princess, artist, deep thinking, and loves God six year old.
Beautiful yet moody, fun-loving, goes as the wind blows, sweet and precious four year old.

Yet in defense of her moody picture, she did start to run a mysterious low grade fever today. Not too fun on your party day! Especially the party where you get to see your grandparents! :)

Great picture of the family! I cannot imagine a time where my parents will not be living close by. I know the times you share with them now are so much sweeter! Glad you had a wonderful visit...birthdays and all! :)

What precious little ones!! I'm so glad God gave you time with your parents. Enjoy them!! They will not always be around. I lost my Daddy 3 years ago and oh, what I wouldn't give to be able to see him and talk to him. I know I will one day, but sometimes a girl just needs her Daddy!!

Have a great weekend!!

I'm all about consolidating birthdays. It's so much easier.

All of the pictures are beautiful.

Good thing grammy was there to give the extra hugs and snuggles she probably needed.
