I received a copy of this book at no charge from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review.
A Sudden Glory, God's Lavish Response to Your Ache for Something More is a wonderful book that promotes intimacy in your relationship with Christ. I was inspired by the writing and it has helped me move deeper into my relationship with the Lord.
Overall it is a book that addresses our busy culture and how that has negatively affected our walk with the Lord. Many women find themselves running on empty and are too exhausted to find time with the Lord. Then guilt sets in and we are not living fully in Christ.
Christ desires relationship with us. As with any human relationship we want to flourish we must slow our pace down, we must invest in this relationship. She focused on the verse that comes from Acts 17:28, "in Him we live and move and have our very being." In all things we do in this life we can stay connected to Christ and we must.
She admonishes us to keep our eyes open for "sudden glory" moments which are little glimpses of His love through out the day. When we are busy and not focused on HIM we easily miss all of these sweet gifts. She shows us examples and fills this book with Scriptures that point us back to Christ.
I really enjoyed this title and do highly recommend it to you if you have a desire to slow the pace down and connect better with Christ. He is desiring relationship with you, don't miss those moments of connection.
