I am sorry to hear that you have had to endure some of those rotten things that seem to come with the territory of being in church leadership, but which shouldn't. I think you write inspiring posts so I am glad you hung in there. You have a lot of good things to say and I am sure the people who come in contact with you are helped immensely. (((HUGS))) That is definitely the down side of being in ministry. I experienced some of that myself when I was serving overseas, and while DH and I haven't experienced too much of it since he's become a pastor, it's hard not to get self-conscious and wonder what people are saying about you. (I came from a home church that did NOT treat their pastors well. Lots of gossip at that church. My mom was a PK and certainly taught me empathy for those in ministry and their families!)
