We are so honored if Refresh My Soul Ministries has blessed you in any way. It is just a little place for one girl to express herself freely. I write thought better than I can ever express it in speech. We are blessed if it has helped anyone grow closer to Christ at all.

With that said, we feel lead to do a six month period of giving to you all. Each month starting this month til June we will be hosting some sort of give away. It will be during random times during the month and different things.

This month we want to do a dual giveaway. You can win an Amazon.com gift card in the amount of $25 dollars for yourself and one also for a friend. To enter I would like you to leave a comment telling us what you would do with your gift card and who you would chose to give the other to and why. Maybe it is a friend in need, maybe a friend who has blessed you. Entries can come in until Next Saturday the 14th at midnight. Sunday afternoon the 15th I will announce the winner.

Here is the deal, I will read your comments to my children about the friend you chose to give the other gift card too. Whichever one they pick will be the winner. (Most other contests I will just do random drawings.)

So share the contest, spread the word. Let's be generous toward one another!

Oh Angela...you just bless my heart! Your posts here and your comments on Facebook are always so uplifting. Thank you for being one that honors the Lord with your words and your actions.

If I were to win, I would give the extra gift card to my next door neighbor. She is a young mother of three girls ages 7, 3 and 1. Her husband works hard and is the sole breadwinner for the family. Recently his salary has been cut...again. She stays home and gets out very little and often seems down. My husband and I have sought to encourage this family as much as we can with the love of Christ. They struggle financially and I would love to walk next door, hand her the gift card and say, "God loves you and I do too...now get online and treat yourself to something."

Angela, your blogs always refresh my soul. I had thought about saying why I would give my card and the friend card to my sister, but I, also, agree that I hope Jenmom wins.

Your Facebook posts and this blog has been, and will continue to be, a blessing for me. :)

I would give the gift card to my 10 year old daughter, Leah. In the past, she has struggled with maintaining a regular Bible reading schedule, although she knows how important it is. I bought her a tween devotional study that I found a few weeks ago, and it has had an impact on her. She has been reading her Bible more and praying more readily and is showing more of the sweet spirit that she has (rather than the sour one). I came home from school last night and went in her room to say hello and found her sitting on her bed, praying fervently with her Bible and devotional book open in front of her. I would use the gift card to reward her for such beautiful behavior.

Hey sweet friend,

If I win the gift cards, I will give one to my best friend, Michelle. She is in the middle of doing her internship for her school psychology degree, which means she is having to work a full-time job for zero pay. When she's not doing that, she's up at the church planning fun ways for the kids of our church to learn about Jesus.

She hardly ever has money she can use to splurge on something for herself. I'd love to give her a treat!

Of course, I wait until the last day to post. I will lean on what my Mommy says, "Better late than never!" Get the tissues, you are going to need them!

In November we attended an event called Humble Harvest in Georgia, an outreach event for the needy. Steve and I overlooked the books and crafts table near the toys. I was overwhelmed with joy to help and sorrow with seeing so many in need and even angry at times with those who seemed just to be greedy. At the end of the day when there was very little left I saw a very thin, shivering woman by the toys. I started a conversation with her. She was very timid and self-conscious. I led her from table to table to fill up her bag with toys, clothes and toiletries. Then I went over to the sweaters and found the smallest one I could to fit her and helped her put it on. When we were getting cleaning supplies asked her if she received a Bible. She said, "Yes!" I asked her if she ever read the Bible. She said, "No!" I asked her if she knew Jesus and about the gift of salvation. She said she loved Jesus but did not know the way to be saved. I shared a quick version of how to be saved. Then I had the joy of leading her in a prayer to receive Christ. I put bookmarks in the Book of John and told her to start reading there. I then helped her carry everything to her car and got a phone number from her. We heard from her the week before Christmas and she had gone to church that Sunday. We were able to bring her five precious, beautiful children Christmas gifts. Then we brought them groceries after seeing all she had to put in the babies bottles was Kool-aid she had gotten at the food pantry. The little ones squealed with joy over the bananas, since it had been a long time since they had seen any. Hopefully, we will see them again tomorrow. We have fallen in love with this family. If I won, I would give her the opportunity to buy something new for herself.
