Book Review: Praying through the Bible for your Kids by Guthrie
This is a really neat book. It is set up with your daily Bible readings and for each day there is a little devotional about how to apply a portion of that Scripture to your everyday family life with kids. Then at the bottom of each page is a prayer help that you can pray for your children regarding what you just read.
It is an easy source of encouragement that will keep you in the word but also help you apply it to your life. This is great. It is a good resource that is easy enough to read daily. It would be good for any busy mom or dad. And can you imagine praying the Scriptures for your children for an entire year? What a blessing that would be.

Book Review: befriend by Sauls
I have struggled much of my life with my understanding of friendship. I think my problem came from the influence of pop culture 90's television shows. I would base my picture of friendship on that. I could never wrap my mind around a biblical view of friendship. This is until now. This book has finally helped me gain a glimpse into what biblical friendship actually is.
This book not only gave me a definition of biblical friendship but it also gave me various pictures and examples based on the life of Christ and others. It was supremely helpful. My life has been changed and moved by this book. I have been affirmed and challenged. I am thankful for both.
The best way to read this book is with a group of people. There are a few things to discuss at the end of each chapter and community would benefit from discussing these together. It would be life changing for the group.
I think every Christian should take the time to read this book. I also think non-Christians should read this book to get an insight into what Christian friendship is to look like. I think it would be a fire hydrant of surprising grace. I think it would draw them in. This book needs to be discussed.
